Aim of the Program

The APWA Traveling Fellowship Program is aimed to be an international collaboration that will enhance training and exchange of knowledge and skills in wrist surgery.

2017 Training Schedule

The Fellows were hosted by Prof PC Ho in Hong Kong, Toshiyasu Nakamura and Keiji Fujio in Japan and Greg Bain in Adelaide. The Fellows also attend the 3rd Academic cadaveric Course and Congress.

Target Applicants

  • Surgeons interested in wrist surgery and research and are willing to fulfill the responsibilities of this program.

Recruitment Criteria for Applicants

  • Active FULL Member of APWA
  • No age limitation but young surgeons are encouraged
  • Practising surgeons in Orthopaedics, Plastic or Hand Surgeries
  • Recommendation letters of 2 referees with at least ONE being Full Member of APWA
  • Provide an abstract of an academic paper that you would present at the APWA meeting in Adelaide

Responsibilities of Successful Applicants

  • Attend all the activities arranged by the supervisors of different centers
  • Provide an oral presentation of their travelling experience in the upcoming APWA congress in Adelaide 6-8 Oct 2017
  • Submit abstract and provide at least one academic presentation at the Adelaide APWA meeting
  • Submit a written report on the travelling experience before 31 Dec 2017
